Exhibition children drawings Jet en Jan and Overgisteren
On September 23, 2018 we had the opening of our newest exhibition! A very special one this time. The children who have visited with the various educational programmes like 'Jet and Jan' and 'Overgisteren' have made beautiful drawings.
Specially opened by our fortress governess (in her most beautiful dress) Beppie ten Böhmer.
Paintings from Aart Neven and Piet Schaap, (early 2018)
A small impressie (also on facebook)
Altena and Biesbosch in aquarels (second half season 2017)
You can see the exhibition 'Biesbosch and Altena in watercolours' by our former board member Richard Abbink. Richard has always shared his paintings on Facebook, so that we (his followers) could see how he grew up in his work. Ultimately it became works of art that were worthy to be included in an exhibition. The cloths are also for sale, including luxury postcards (per piece or per set), where all profits are donated to the KWF!
Stolpersteine, or 'stumbling stones' (first half of 2017)
Letter from school master Hobo of the CBS Eben Haezer:
Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s)
Next week Sunday 7, Stolpersteine will be laid in the Kerkstraat in Woudrichem for the deceased Jewish citizens of Woudrichem.
This is done by the German artist Günther Demnig, the designer of the Stolpersteine, which he places everywhere in Europe for the victims of the Holocaust. The reception by the aldermen of the municipality of Woudrichem will take place at 2 pm, with a welcome speech by alderman Jorritsma. Jos Korthout, the initiator, will give an explanation of the stones.
Although we realize that this special event does not take place on a 'normal working day' for you, we would still like to bring this to your attention. We hope that a number of children can attend. Since the program is quite long, it is also good if the children attend a part of the program.
Mirjam van den Bogaard
In 2016 (in the second half) we had a special photo exhibition of Mirjam van den Bogaard, with photos taken in the region.
