Lizzy Koppe-van Pelt picked up the story of Jos Bakker at our request and made a beautiful book for the ages 10+. A book for home on the shelf, but also for education at local primary schools.
The special book is available for EUR 15 in the museum and in the bookstore Tante Bethje at Kerkstraat 24 in Woudrichem.
Sfeerimpressie van de boekpresentatie
The anniversary of the jubilee year 2013 of the Fishery and Cultural History Museum in Woudrichem is concluded with the presentation of the book 'Wie Hegget?'.
The book was commissioned by the museum written by Nanda van Straten-Zwijnenberg and, although he lives in Gorinchem, the real Woerkummer Bert van Straten. In the press, the contents of the book have already been given the necessary attention and this has also been done at the presentation, but we as a museum are extremely proud of this collector's item.

Het visrecht van de poorters en de poorterskinderen van Woudrichem
A very informative book about the fishing rights in Woudrichem, after the original book from 1983 (again) in a modern and well-arranged jacket by Jos Bakker. Very good to read, detailed, complete and very interesting. A must for the real Woerkummer!
The Woerkums Fishing rights relive for children 10+
In addition to the book on the Fish Law, by Jos Bakker and the book for children by Lizzy, the Visserijmuseum has taken an extra step by developing a teaching package with digital timeline, 6 lessons, a board game and various excursions for group 8 and first graders of secondary education.
Wednesday evening September 26 2018 was the official presentation for guests, in the museum. On October 2nd 2018 the presentation of the project was held at the Openbare Basisschool in Oudendijk. The schools have embraced the project so far with enthusiasm.
